 Marriage Encouragement

Marriage is the most beautiful, fulfilling, intimate and challenging relationship we have the privilege to enter into on earth. Notice I said challenging.

Every marriage is filled with blessings and challenges. Each spouse decides which one will far outweigh the other. It's not a 50/50 partnership. It's 100/100. Both spouses must be fully invested in the covenant and one another and that means submission first to Christ and then to one another.

In my many years of being married (one time to the same man) I can tell you that we've faced some challenges but I'm glad to report that the blessings FAR exceed them but it takes working together in Christ to have the marriage that we both desire and that GOD has ordained.

I learned long ago that my marriage would not work itself.  We have to make our marriages work each day. The relationship must be nurtured, prayed for, respected and valued.  Each person must treat the other with love, value and respect even in the difficult times.  Laying down "self" attitudes is critical to not only the survival of your marriage but to it's ability to THRIVE.

Examine your Marriage through the eyes of your spouse. Is it all that it can be? I'm sure there are areas where change can be embraced. Notice I asked you to examine your marriage through the eyes of your spouse? Often we view things as it relates to oneself but that doesn't always give us a sound perspective. Look through the eyes of your spouse at your marriage. You may find some areas where you can also change.

Pray and ask the LORD for help. Study His word on Marriage and then put it into practice.  Don't point the finger out. Point the finger in. That leads to a covenant that is filled with far  more blessings then challenges.

I'd like to help you if I can through God's word, to have the type of Marriage He has purposed for you.

Are you Married and need some encouragement?

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
John 14:6-7

Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
Psalm 25:4-5
